There are many great things about the Oxford PPE course but what I enjoyed most about it was the wide range of modules you could choose from. At the end of first year, students choose between dropping one of Philosophy, Politics or Economics, and keeping on with all three subjects. In second and third year students must study a number of core modules and a number of options modules over which you have completely free choice. This allows you to study subjects as diverse as Middle Eastern Politics, Marx and Marxism, International Economics or the Philosophy of Science.
There is such a wide range of options available that there is something for everyone. In addition, if a student is particularly interested in a specific topic they can choose to do a thesis in that topic. This provides a good opportunity to acquire a really deep understanding of the topic of interest.
