History at Oxford can be studied alongside a modern language. As well a the obvious benefits of studying a foreign language, much of the exploration of foreign language can be complemented by the form study of the historical context of which they take place within that culture.
Admissions Tests: Since 2016, students are required to take both the History assessment and the Modern Language assessment. (See page) The Modern languages test involves written testing both in English, including comprehension and summary, and in a foreign language.
